A ruff timeline
2020
Baris's family bring home Rio. They soon discover their new puppy poops....a lot. Dogs can’t talk, and the vet world felt clunky, reactive, and pricey. So his human, Baris, teamed up with vets to build Scooch — a smarter, preventative way to care for our pups. Made with love, for Rio and every other dog out there.

It soon became clear that although dog food was an essential to pet parenting, nothing on the market contained all the ingredients needed to target some of the most common conditions.
So, alongside dedicated vets and pet experts, the first four targeted supplements were launched.

The MVP of our award-winning app, Scooch Health, was in motion. With the support & feedback of our incredible community, we built the first set of features from 24/7 video vets, through to vet defined health tracking, and Rio the AI assistant!

Rio even features in the app!

We set out to tackle one of the biggest causes of pet care distress amongst pet parents, and we made it happen. We launched £1,000 of free accident & injury insurance for every Scooch Health subscriber. No extra fees, no fine print, just real free protection — built into our app.

Scooch was flying. Receiving backing from the likes of Mars Petcare and EHE Ventures, through to overwhelming award recognition from "AI Startup of the Year 2024" through to "JCDecaux Startup of the Year"
